Making our Sustainable Acetate Satin Ribbon starts by extracting cellulose from wood pulp, which is then combined with acetic acid. This reaction produces granules dissolved in acetone and extruded into a 59% biobased acetate yarn. Our production process uses an almost closed-loop system that minimizes waste by reusing or recycling production waste or offering it for sale.

Our ribbon is 96 mm wide and comes in a 5 or 25-metre rolls. It is easy to work with and perfect for gift wrapping and bow making. The ribbon has a soft sheen on one side, and a matt finish on the reverse, adding an elegant touch to any package.

The best part is that our ribbon is certified as biodegradable and made from cellulose wood pulp. This ensures that our ribbon will break down naturally over time, reducing its environmental impact. However, please note that our ribbon is unsuitable for machine washing or printing and is not recommended for garment use.
